An interesting notion has crossed the minds of conservative journalists, in this case exemplified by Ramesh Ponnuru's pronouncement that the GOP has earned for itself the frontrunner they deserved. The conservative media and the politicians they have nurtured have led to an epistemological closure that allowed them to get Trump'd. Oh well.
