Finally the NYTimes Goes There on Guns.

Today, the New York Times placed a pro-gun-control-editorial on its front page. It doesn't mark the end of gun violence in the U.S., but it does mark a new maturity -- or visibility -- in the fight to restore gun sanity. Its lede says it succinctly:

It is a moral outrage and national disgrace that civilians can legally purchase weapons designed to kill people with brutal speed and efficiency.

There you have it. Let it be repeated all over this country until we stop this madness (not holding my breath, but...).
